That's -- not what Clint meant. He doesn't care if he's safe (much to the chagrin of some of his co-workers), he cares if he has a secure vantage. The important thing is that the target never knows the sniper was even there.
But Nat keeps talking before he can protest, and maybe that's for the best. Nat doesn't like being protected any more than he does.
